“This was a brilliant workshop that highlighted big issues. A fantastic way of getting the next generation involved.” - Parent
“The workshop was perfectly pitched for its participants - educational, forceful and entertaining with brilliant acting and gentle and skilful interaction” - Teacher from Teignmough College
This was One Step Theatre’s inaugural project and took the form of an interactive performance workshop for young people and families. Participatory elements guided the audience through Sally’s journey, learning about single-use plastics and how small local actions can make a big difference.
With props and a set made entirely out of plastic collected by the cast - the visual impact was huge! The piece wove together audio compilations, research, movement and puppetry to create an engaging and visual experience.
The piece toured local secondary schools, libraries and community spaces across Exeter and Plymouth in May 2019.
